Weekthun is an intensive, week-long meditation retreat for new and experienced meditators. The program is carefully designed to support participants in deepening their mindfulness-awareness practice. The week includes group and individual meditation instruction, dharma talks from the teachers, group discussion, movement exercises, and walks. Specifically, participants will learn and explore Shambhala Meditation, an experiential practice of Feeling, Being, and Touching. During Weekthun, meditation goes beyond the cushion, with every aspect of daily life becoming a practice of wakefulness and an opportunity to make better friends with ourselves and our world.
You can plan for full days (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and evening programs until 8:30 p.m. on 12/27 and 12/29. The Weekthun will end with a proper New Year’s Eve feast and practice until midnight on 12/31 and then enjoyment of New Year's day in silence and contemplation. You can choose from attending the whole week, part of the week, or individual days.
