Open Meditation Schedule

Our center offers a rich array of weekly ongoing offerings free to the public. No prior meditation experience required to attend. Most programs offer meditation instruction upon request. All are welcome.

Open Public Sitting Hours

Group sitting is an opportunity to practice meditation together. Individuals may arrive and leave as they need to. During the sessions there are opening Shambhala Buddhist chants, sitting meditation, walking meditation and closing Shambhala Buddhist chants. All are welcome.

Sunday Morning Meditation- Brunswick
Sundays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Open to all | By donation-
unless there is a weekend program in progress. These programs will be listed in our online calendar.
Join us in group practice of the Shambhala community’s core discipline of mindfulness-awareness meditation. Periods of silent sitting meditation alternate with shorter periods of walking meditation. Each session starts and ends with chants. Meditation instruction is available with advance notice. Come and go as you like.

Each session starts and ends with chants. Meditation instruction is available with advanced notice. Come and go as you like.

Open Meditation- Rockland
Sundays, 10:30-11:30  AM | Open to all | By donation
Open Meditation is an opportunity to practice with a group in a relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is welcome, including beginners and experienced practitioners. All meditation traditions are honored. Each session includes twenty-five minutes of seated meditation, followed by five minutes of walking meditation, and closing with twenty-five minutes of seated meditation. There is a timekeeper but no instruction.

Wednesday Night Meditation- Portland
