Eating Mindfully: One Bite At A Time

8 week Mindful Eating Class 

Feeling dissatisfied with your eating?  Using food to manage anxiety, stress, or boredom? Have a combative relationship with your body?

Eating mindfully is a non-diet and body-neutral approach to learn how to tune into your body’s wisdom about what, when, and how much to eat. This mindful eating class is based on the Mindful Eating- Conscious Living course developed by Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, LCSW at the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness.  

Learn about and experience the 9 hungers we all possess to help determine the difference between physical and emotional hunger. Develop a more compassionate relationship with your body and find out what really nourishes you.  This class is intended to help you transform your relationship with food and eating from that of struggle to more ease and delight.

Classes will be held at the Brunswick Shambhala Center

Class dates:  All are to held from 2:00-4:30 unless otherwise noted

April 20- Saturday: includes retreat day 8:30-2:00.  Class 2:00-4:30
