February 9th

    Room: Brunswick

You are invited to our annual Shambhala Day celebration at the Brunswick Shambhala Center:

Shambhala Day: Year of the Earth Boar

Based on the traditional Tibetan New Year’s celebration of Losar, Shambhala Day marks the beginning of our New Year and represents one of the most important celebrations in our tradition. Losar is calculated astrologically, changing every year to coincide with the annual lunar cycles.

While the actual day of Losar this year is February 5th, the Brunswick-Portland Shambhala Center will be holding our new year celebration on Saturday, February 9th.

    Saturday, February 9, 2019

We will enjoy practice, conversation and food (a potluck offering of unknown delicacies).

Please bring a dish to share.

It is the Year of the Earth Boar and is predicted to be a year which harkens the qualities of trustworthiness, simplicity and honesty.

Our Shambhala Day gathering provides us a gentle reminder to renew our intentions to maintain the larger view: We are not alone.  As a community we continue to explore the wisdom in all experience and may recommit to deepen our practice to simply sit in the midst of groundlessness.

    Schedule for the Day:
