Warrior in the World

May 18-20, 2018

with Bryan Mendiola

Having discovered our own goodness and having begun to relax with the nature of fear, we can afford to be more daring, open, and genuine. We can extend that practice into everyday life situations without the barrier of the cocoon. This takes daring. Through daring and gentleness, we open to a clear perception of the world and its feedback.

In doing so, our fixation on our own point of view relaxes, and we learn that we can work with whatever situation arises.

Shambhala Training Weekend III provides a meditation practice to further awaken the mind and heart. With gentle fearlessness, we learn to step beyond our conditioning and open to the freshness of each new moment.

We continue to relate to our perceptions and our world directly through meditation practice, and we further develop our capacity to relate to others and our environment with humor, kindness, and strength.

As with previous weekends, this retreat includes group meditation instruction, teachings by a senior director, individual meditation support and opportunities to socialize with fellow participants.

Pre-requisite: Shambhala Training Weekend II: Birth of a Warrior

Registration: Early registration is recommended to save your space and it also helps the staff plan for the program.

Generosity Policy

The Brunswick Portland Shambhala Center is funded solely by your membership, program fees, and donations. Thank you for your generosity as you consider what you can pay for each program at our Center. We strive to price our programs in a way that accurately reflects the financial need of our Center and the cost to us of producing the program.

We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please consider what is possible for you in your current situation, and offer as much of the program fee as you can.

For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price”. Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
