Contemplative Arts Cafe/Gathering in Brunswick

March 18th

Date details +
    Room: Brunswick

March 18th, Brunswick Shambhala Center, 4-7 pm

Please join us for an informal gathering and celebration centered around the theme of contemplative arts.  You might ask, what are "contemplative arts?" More than a type of art, it is an approach to life, including creative expression, that invites us to step into the space of the present moment with trust and confidence, and to work with the situation we find ourselves in.  This approach could apply to everyday activities such as brushing our teeth or getting dressed, facing an empty canvas or blank page, or having a conversation with a friend.

We will meditate, contemplate, play, share delicious food, and talk with each other about how we might incorporate and further cultivate this approach in our sangha activities, in our homes and with our families, and in the world.  To conclude our gathering, those who wish may make creative offerings (e.g., poems, songs, music, movement, etc.—no longer than 5 minutes please).

Please bring light fare/hors d’oeuvres to share.
