OVERVIEW OF SHAMBHALA TRAINING WEEKEND:

(This is very general. Check with the Teaching Director prior to and during the weekend for scheduling adjustments for the various levels as well as their personal preferences and responses to the participants).

  • Friday night
    • registration 7:00 to 7:30,
    • followed by short sitting period (except Level I) and
    • opening talk.
    • Normally wrapped up by 9:00.
  • Saturday:
    • light breakfast starting at 8:30, with sitting from 9-lunch.
    • During the morning sitting, usually the director takes the umdze seat, which is set in front and slightly to one side of the shrine with meditation instruction.
    • An hour and half lunch break. Usually a catered lunch at the center.
    • Followed by sitting, interviews, tea break and Director talk.
  • Sunday:
    • light breakfast starting at 8:30,
    • with sitting from 9- lunch.
    • During the morning sitting there could be a group discussion breakout session.
    • An hour and half lunch break.
    • Followed by sitting, interviews and concluding with Director’s talk.
