Heart of Recovery- Monday Evenings 6:30-7:30pm in Portland 

The Heart of Recovery is an on-going, weekly meeting for people grappling with strong addictions of any kind – be they substances such as drugs and alcohol or harmful, habitual patterns.

Dharma Drop-in, Thursday 7pm-8:30pm

Thursday night dharma drop in, is thrilled to be hosting a fantastic series of teachings by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche.  These teachings will take the form of short videos followed by contemplations, discussion and meditation!!!

Thursday’s 7-8:30 in Portland. As alway your welcome to drop in anytime for as long or short as you would like! Hope to see you!

Friday May 6,  7-9pm there is a video lecture and discussion at Bowdoin College Beam Classroom in the Visual Arts Center, which we believe will be of interest.

“Cooperating in Matters of Goodness” Lecture and Discussion

Friday May 6 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Beam classroom of the VAC, Bowdoin’s MSA will be hosting a discussion and lecture screening by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan on the topic of “Cooperating in Matters of Goodness”. Nouman Ali Khan is a world-renowned Quranic and Arabic scholar with a unique way of integrating evidences from the Quran and the Arabic language into his talks. Khan is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah Institute, as well as the lead instructor for a number of Bayyinah courses including the ‘Fundamentals of Classical Arabic’ and ‘Divine Speech’. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project of conducting a linguistic and literary focus Qur’anic Tafseer series in English. No RSVP necessary. Spread the word! All are welcome! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
